Serbian Language and Culture Center

The Serbian Language and Culture Center was opened on 22 May 2018 at the initiative of Azerbaijan University of Languages (the AUL) and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Serbia.

The Serbian Language and Culture Center aiming to promote Serbian language and culture, expansion of interstate relations, closer acquaintance between the states and joint work was set up by Serbian President Alexander Vucic and rector of the University, academician Kamal Abdullayev. The gift by the head of the state was presented to the center.

The Centre has a rich library with about 300 books and magazines in Serbian, English, Russian and other languages to get familiarized with the history, culture and literature of Serbia. Books have been grouped into the categories of culture, history, politics, literature, religion and language. The Center regularly cooperates with the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Serbia, as well as the Embassy of Serbia in our country.

There is an agreement on cooperation between Azerbaijan University of Languages and the University of Belgrade, which provides teacher and student exchanges between the universities.

The Serbian Language and Culture Center operates as the part of the International Relations Department.
