The "Green World: Easy Breath Safe Life" event took place.

With the announcement of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), at the Faculty of Education-1, Lala Asadova, associate professor of the Department of English Lexicology and Stylistics-1 and the second-year 211a group students of that faculty, organized an event called "Green World: Easy Breath Safe Life"

 At the event, members of the department - Assoc. Sevinj Taghiyeva, Ph.D., Ulviyya Ahmadova, Ph.D., Durra Hashimova, Ph.D., Nigar Bagirova, Ph.D. Jala Mammadova, B/M Mulayim Bagirova, teacher Gunay Aghayeva and students of group 211a participated.

Group 211a students gave presentations at the event, and a video about the beautiful nature of our native country Azerbaijan, was presented.

The great leader Heydar Aliyev's role in the protection of Azerbaijan's nature, improvement of the ecological situation, and his constant concern for the issues of environmental protection were specially mentioned.At present, it was reported on the landscaping and construction works in the territories liberated from occupation, the declaration of Karabakh as an ecologically green zone, the creation of an ecological park in Sugovushan, the implementation of all these issues under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, and the creation of greenery on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva and the IDEA organization was shown.

 Afterwards, students gave speeches on the subjects of "climate change" and "global warming." They discussed the effects of global warming and changes in the atmosphere on people and the environment, as well as potential remedies. They also underlined the significance of safeguarding the natural world.

Moreover, they presented videos and gave background information on the history and objectives of COP29, which will take place in Baku this year.

The students ended the event by performing the song "The Earth's Song" and displaying posters about environmental, wildlife, and greenery protection.
