A roundtable titled "The role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in improving the environment in Azerbaijan" was held.

In connection with the declaration of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fatima Ibrahimova, the head teacher of the Department of English Phonetics under the Faculty of Education 1, organized a round table event titled "Role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in improving the environment in Azerbaijan" with the participation of students from groups 121b and 122a.
At the event, the dean of the Faculty of Education 1 of AUL, prof. Fikret Jahangirov, associate professor Salman Nuriyev, dean of the Faculty of Education 2, associate professor Khatira Gocayeva, head of the Department of English Phonetics, and teachers of the department participated.
The roundtable began with the playing of the National Anthem.
Elvina Mammadsalahova, a student from group 121b, greeted the participants and informed them about the Great Leader's policy for the development of ecology and environmental protection while he led our republic, followed by a video clip of Heydar Aliyev's speeches prepared by students from group 122a. The interview among first-year students at AUL, which discussed "the historical role of the Great Leader in the direction of protecting and improving the environment in Azerbaijan," was well accepted by the event's participants.
Prof. Fikret Jahangirov, Dean of the Faculty of Education, stated in his speech that the Great Leader, who had a humanistic attitude toward nature, continually called for the protection of Azerbaijan's mysterious and rich nature, as well as the preservation of the ecological balance, in almost every speech. The main goal of the environmental policy implemented in our republic is to use natural resources effectively to meet the needs of future generations. The national leader's policy of ecology and environment protection is being successfully continued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Docent Salman Nuriyev, dean of Education 2, emphasized the significance of the event in terms of further improving environmental education among our future generation. He spoke about the complex work done at AUL within the context of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World."
It was mentioned that the environmental policies, laws, and decrees issued under Heydar Aliyev's leadership were directed at the health of our country's natural environment. Since this task was done consistently, routinely, and systematically, the
results were excellent.
Asmar Aslanova, a student in group 121b, then performed the poem "Nature
is God's Masterpiece" by Zalimkhan Yagub, the national poet.
The round table concluded with students from groups 121b and 122a presenting the novel "Olkam," authored by composer Asaf Zeynalli and lyrics by Jafar Jabbarli.
