AZERBAIJAN UNIVERSITY OF LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT OF PEDAGOGY The Department of Pedagogy, as a management and organizational structure of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, has been providing pedagogical training for students of bachelor`s and master`s level and preparing teachers (Additional Education and Practice Department). The department participates in conducting pedagogical researches at AUL and meanwhile, in the pedagogical institutions, carries out the mission of training highly qualified pedagogical personnel of primary, secondary and high schools of the republic. The Department of Pedagogy provides assistance in solving pedagogical issues at the university (application of new pedagogical technologies and interactive teaching methods, etc.), and in optimizing the scientific and educational work of the departments of theory, profession and methodology. The department gives its contribution to pupils, students, teachers, and parents to improve their work, solve theoretical and practical issues, and determines the future perspectives of pedagogical diagnostics in this work. The content of the subjects which is taught in the department is based on the requirements arising from the relevant documents within the framework of the educational program which is implemented in the republic. Staff members of the department work with modern textbooks and teaching aids that benefiting from theories and approaches that have proven themselves in Azerbaijan and the world experience and based on the requirements of the modern period. Teachers implement their application in teaching. The Department of Pedagogy establishes a close and continuous relationship with institutions of master's and doctoral studies, participates in the training of scientific-pedagogical personnel in the republic. ESTABLISHMENT HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT The department of pedagogy has been operating since 1946. In 1946-1958, Surkhay Hajiyev In 1959-1972 Associate Professor Gulam Mammadov In 1973-1983 Professor Aben Karimov In 1984-2015 Professor Nurettin Kazimov headed the department. Since 2015, the department has been headed by Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogy, Associate Professor Nigar Zeynalova.

TEACHING STAFF IN THE DEPARTMENT In total, 31 staff members work in the department: 12 of them are part-time, 19 are full-time teachers, and 2 are technical assistants. 2 of the department's employees are dissertation students, 3 are doctoral students, and 2 are working on a dissertation to receive a doctor of science degree. Among the members of the department have 8 doctors of philosophy, 4 associate professors, 8 head teachers, and 19 teachers.

From July 30, 2021, the Inclusive Education Center is operating under the Department of Pedagogy of Azerbaijan University of Languages.
İt is planned to provide the necessary theoretical knowledge to young professionals in the field of inclusion, to acquire practical skills, to organize experience, to implement trainings and various projects with the establishment of the Inclusive Education Center.
" Inclusive Education Center" (CINE) regulates its activities in five directions:
1. Specialist training;
2. Work with parents;
3. Public education.
4. Organization of work with children;
5. International cooperation.
