About the history of the department:
The Department of Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Philology is the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Philology at the Faculty of Regional Studies and International Relations, which has been operating since 2012 according to the order of the rector of the AUL dated August 8, 2017 (protocol N10) No. 1/290, the Department of Foreign Languages was established at the Faculty of Philology and journalism on the basis of the II departments of foreign languages functioning under the order of the rector No. 1/494 dated November 7, 2017, the department is headed by Professor Shaban Gasan oglu Shabanov.
Mission and goal of the department:
The main and main goal of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology is to teach students German, English, French and Russian and familiarize them with the culture of the country being studied, as well as to teach them all aspects of all four languages, such as speaking, listening and understanding, reading and writing, is in the development of speech activity. In addition, the staff of the department plays an important role in the transfer of new knowledge to students using new information technologies (computer, Internet) in the study and teaching of German, English, French and Russian.
The head of the department, professor and experienced teaching staff conduct open and exemplary classes, give important advice and recommendations to young teachers in the direction of teaching.
Department activities:
Teachers of German, English, French and Russian languages of our department work at the faculties of philology, pedagogy, translation and international relations of the university, as well as at the magistracy, and in Russian, our teachers teach philology, pedagogy, and at the same time, teachers of our department teach at the first courses of the magistracy of the relevant faculties and in doctoral studies.
