What is the Orhun Exchange Program?
The Orhun Exchange Program is a student and faculty exchange initiative implemented within the framework of protocols signed among the member universities of the Turkic Universities Union, under the Turkic Council.

Application and Participation
Applications for the Orhun Exchange Program are accepted once a year, typically in April or May.
Both students and faculty members interested in participating should apply to the International Relations Office of Azerbaijan University of Languages (ADU).
Information for Students
• Students applying to the exchange program must check the website of the target university to ensure that their field of study is offered there.
• After all applications are received, candidates will be evaluated based on the admission decisions of the host universities, and results will be announced.
• The exchange period covers at least one and at most two semesters.
• During participation in the program, students must continue paying tuition fees to their home university. They cannot freeze their registration.
• Students do not pay additional tuition fees to the host university.
• Students must fulfill the same financial obligations as local students at the host institution.
• Apart from regular institutional fees, host universities cannot impose extra charges on Orhun Exchange students.
• Scholarships or student loans received from the home university will continue during the exchange period.
• Accommodation and meal expenses are covered by the host university. No additional cash payment will be provided.
• Students who are already studying in another country as international students cannot participate in this exchange.
• Third- and final-year students are not eligible to apply.
• Students may choose only one university.
• Minimum GPA requirement: 75/100.

Information for Faculty Members
• The faculty exchange covers the teaching activities of academic staff from one higher education institution at another partner institution.
• Applicants must check the host university’s website to confirm whether their field of instruction and teaching language are available.
• After reviewing all applications, the host university will make the final selection and announce the results.
• The exchange period for academic staff is at least one week and at most one semester per academic year.
• Faculty members must conduct a minimum of six teaching hours per week. When fewer teaching hours are assigned, participation in seminars, panels, or conferences can be included in this workload.
• Mobility that does not involve teaching activity is not eligible under the Orhun Exchange Program.
• The Academic Staff Mobility Program document (ÖĞRETİM ÜYESİ HAREKETLİLİK PROGRAMI) must detail the teaching activities and be approved by both the sending and receiving departments. It must be submitted to the host university at least 15 days before the exchange begins.
• Preference is given to applicants who have not previously participated in the exchange.
• Academic staff who are selected but fail to participate without a valid reason will be ineligible to reapply for three years.
• The sending university covers transportation costs, while the host university covers accommodation and meal expenses. No additional cash payment will be made.
