On January 9, a meeting with members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Science and Education was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages. AUL Rector, academician Kamal Abdulla, welcomed the guests, expressing his joy to see them at the university.

It was noted that last academic year, AUL achieved great success and once again managed to distinguish itself in the QS rating table. This indicator is an issue on which the high scientific and pedagogical superiority of teachers and students and the results of the quality of teaching depend. Speaking about the importance of projects, implemented by AUL in the field of science and education, the Rector spoke about the conditions, created for teachers and students on the basis of international experience, as well as the possibility of further scientific cooperation and partnership.

AUL was one of the first to attract the attention of both local and international universities. The scientific and technical base of the University is designed to provide wide opportunities for students and teachers by equipping it with the most modern innovative equipment.

The importance of such projects as "Caliph for one day", "Embassy hour", the creation of international centers, meetings with AUL graduates in the regions was emphasized: "Last year Azerbaijan Language University set a record for the number of student admissions, which amounted to 99.9 percent and is the highest indicator in the history of the university. This is a joyful event. This result is the most vivid example of society's attitude and interest in AUL. Thus, we are on the right track. Both teachers and students have done a great job. More than twenty foreign languages are taught at AUL. Among these languages, Sanskrit should be particularly noted. Students’ interest in this ancient language is huge.

A number of countries - Pakistan, China, Russia, Belarus, Romania, Serbia, Hungary and Chechnya have representative offices. These organisations are acting as Azerbaijani language and culture centers, successfully representing Azerbaijan and increasing the prestige of our university".

Vice-Rector for International Relations of AUL, Associate Professor Zhalya Garibova, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations, Vice- Rector for Social affairs and Public Relations, Deputy Tamam Jafarova, informed about the conditions, created at the university, available opportunities and projects. It was noted that the Public Council plays an important role in establishing a dialogue between society and universities in the implementation of science and education policy. In this respect, the particular need for the active work of the Council was emphasized.

Then the members of the Public Council who spoke - Professor Hikmet Alizade, Mirza Jafarzade, Gunay Alekperova, Orkhan Karimzade, Heydar Eminli, Elchin Azimli, Sevinj Magamalieva thanked the management and the staff for the conditions, created in the university. AUL is one of the higher educational institutions, the graduates of which manage to stand out in the labor market with their competitiveness and high professional human potential. This also demonstrates the high quality of teaching at the university with the proper education strategy.

The meeting continued with a discussion on important issues.
