The University of Languages celebrated the anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of China and Azerbaijan

Within the framework of the summer online lecture of the Confucius Institute of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, director of the Confucius Institute, military translator of the Chinese language Rafig Abbasov delivered a lecture "Military-philosophical thought in ancient China" dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the Day of Establishment of the People's Liberation Army of China and the 105th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.

R.Abbasov talked about the history of military-philosophical thought in ancient China, the role of military doctrine in the formation of Chinese civilization, the Chinese contribution to the development of military art and military technology, the most important medieval battles of the Chinese army, as well as the peculiarities of the military art of the Turks in the Oghuz epic "Kitabi Dede Gorgud".

R.Abbasov also told about ancient Chinese military art and famous treatises of military philosophy - "The Art of War" and "Thirty-six Stratagems". Talking about the prospects of development of Azerbaijani-Chinese military-political and military-technical ties, Azerbaijan's geostrategic role in the revival of the Silk Road, military-political priorities of modernization of China's army and military-industrial complex, participation of the two countries in modern world geopolitical processes, R.Abbasov noted the importance of ensuring the security of Euro-Asian transport corridors. In conclusion, musical compositions were performed by the orchestra of the People’s Liberation Army of China and the orchestra of the Azerbaijan Higher Military School named after Heydar Aliyev.
