A blood donation campaign was held at Azerbaijan University of Languages on 5 May to promote social responsibility among teachers, students and staff and support treatment for people suffering from thalassemia and haemophilia.

As part of the action donors were first examined by a doctor, and after determining their health status they were allowed to take part in the action. The donors appreciated such actions and encouraged others to take an active part in blood donation.

Among the students was an Iraqi student, Mohammad Khatif, who volunteered to donate blood.

Considering that donating one person's blood can save three lives, the members wanted to thereby give new hope and life to those in need.

Note that the action was organised by AUL together with the Young International Lawyers Public Association, the Women with University Education Public Association and with the support of the Central Blood Bank.
