Academician Kamal Abdulla, Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, Met Şeref Ateş, Head of Yunus Emre İnstitute

On January 29, 2019, Academician Kamal Abdulla, rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, received Şeref Ateş, head of Yunus Emre İnstitute. Members of the Azerbaijani parliament, rector of Azerbaijan States Pedagogical Institute Professor Cəfər Cəfərov, director and members of Baku Turkish Cultural Centre took part at the reception. Kamal Abdulla expressed his pleasure to see the guests at the University. He informed the guests that there are about 20 centres of language and culture at the University. He spoke of the international relations of the University and noted that the languages are taught by the native and foreign teachers. Speaking about the existing faculties he also mentioned the activities of the research laboratories of the University. Şeref Ateş thanked the administration of the University for the sincere reception, spoke of the activity of the Institute headed by him, and gave information on the activities and programs implemented into life at the Institute. He highly appreciated the cooperation of Azerbaijan University of Languages, Yunus Emre İnstitute and Baku Turkish Cultural Centre. Then the parties discussed the importance of mutual cooperation, joint projects and future perspectives. After the reception jointly organized by the Foundation of the Spiritual Values and Yunus Emre İnstitute and supported by Azerbaijan University of Languages there was held a conference on the topic “Seyid Yəhya Bakuvi and the tradition of the Philosophy of Theosophy”. Academician Kamal Abdulla, rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, members of the parliament Qənirə Paşayeva, Hikmet Babaoğlu and others made extended speeches. Əhməd Niyazov, chief of the chair of İslamic Studies at Azerbaijan İnstitute of Theology spoke of “The place of Seclusionism in the Tradition of Theosophy”, Metin İzet, teacher of Kalkandelen State University of Turkey, spoke of “The Tradition of Seyid Yəhya Şirvani in Balkan countries”, Ümit Akdemir, teacher of Graphic Design Faculty of Ankara University of Social Sciences, spoke on the topic “Seyid Yəhya Şirvani, poet of love, and his poetry”, Aqil Şirinov, vice-rector of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology on Researches and Innovations, spoke on “The Role of Theosophy in the Formation of  the Traditions of Coexistence”, Ömer Tuğrul İnaçer, research fellow, writer, founder of the Turkish  Theosophy Music Foundation and Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Group spoke on the topic “Islam, Theosophy and Seclusionism”, Mustafa Tatçı, teacher of the chair of the Turkish Language and Literature, spoke of “ Eternal Succession”.
