On January 24, 2019, Azerbaijan University of Languages and Azerbaijan Institute of Theology signed a protocol of cooperation on research and technical cooperation.

In conformity with the principles of cooperation between higher educational institutions the protocol on joint activities in the field of science and pedagogical activities was signed by Academician Kamal Abdulla, rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages and Jeyhun Mammadov, rector of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology.

The protocol provides the conduction of researches based on mutual and beneficial cooperation between the existing faculties and chairs of both higher educational institutions, implementation of projects, organization of in-service training for the teaching staff and for PhD students, organization of exhibitions and conferences, conduction of researches, organization of training courses, long and short term exchange of the teaching staffs of the universities for the conduction of trainings and seminars, exchange of students; supervision of PhD students, provision with necessary literature for the conduction of researches.

Rector Kamal Abdulla said that there is a great need for cooperation among the universities of the country along with those of the foreign countries. He added that the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev on the foundation of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology is a very serious step towards the improvement of the level of intelligence and spirituality of the Azerbaijani people. He added that he was convinced that the newly established educational institution would contribute much to deeds proceeding from its goal in Azerbaijan. "The establishment of the Institute of Theology indicates that there is a pure attitude of the people towards the religion. Jeyhun Bayramov, minister of education, repeatedly stressed the importance of establishing contacts with local universities. Cooperation with the Institute of Theology is one of the important steps taken in this direction”.

Kamal Abdulla expressed his belief that the activity of the Institute of Theology would be extremely successful because of the skill and profound knowledge and skills of its rector Jeyhun Mammadov, and it would improve the religious and spiritual situation in the country.

Rector Kamal Abdulla said that as a result of purposeful activity of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, multiculturalism was raised to the level of the state policy in the country, multicultural environment has reached such a level that the representatives of different sects in the country live peacefully and friendly. Jeyhun Mammadov, rector of the Institute of Theology, expressed his gratitude to

 the administration of Azerbaijan University of Languages heads for accepting the cooperation proposal. Giving information about the activities of the Institute headed by him, Mammadov noted that they have initiated establishment of relations with other educational institutions of the country, too. He also spoke about the benefits of using the experience of the university, which has a long history and many spheres for cooperation.

After the ceremony of signature the guests got acquainted with the University.
