The meeting of the initiative group of the Alumni Association of Azerbaijan University of Languages was held on December 17, 2018. The rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages Academician Kamal Abdulla said that the idea of institution of the Alumni Association is being welcomed by everyone. He emphasized that the institution of the Association will be a beneficial step for the communication and development joint important activities. He also spoke about the conferences, events held at the University and the projects implemented into life at the University. Rector Kamal Abdulla spoke about the First International Conference on the topic “Heydar Aliyev: Multiculturalism and Ideology of Tolerance” and reminded that the sections of the conference were held in China, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Portugal and in other foreign countries.

Then important issues, which concerned the institutional session, were discussed.

It should be noted that on the initiative of rector Academician Kamal Abdulla an initiative group has been created for the institution of the Alumni Association of the University. Ilgar Kerimov, a businessman, graduate of 1982, was appointed the head of the working group.

The rector charged the participants to study the international experience in this sphere and take necessary activities for the institution of the Association. He also charged the concerning bodies of the University to render necessary assistance to the working group. The goal of the institution of the Association is to lay a bridge between the University and the graduates and organize their cooperation. It will be useful for the students and the graduates both.

The institution of the Association is also to popularize the brand of the University in Azerbaijan, as well as abroad.
