A seminar on “Sanskrit as an ancient and rich language” was held at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

Making opening speech, Indian Language Instructor Roopali Sinha stressed that the roots of all languages are related to the Sanskrit language and added that this language plays an important role in the Indian-European group of languages. R.Sinha noted that the Indian people also celebrate Nowruz holiday: “We celebrate Nowruz Holiday like you. When I saw that you celebrated this holiday, it made me very happy and it recalled my country”.

At the event it was spoken about the types of Sanskrit language, and many of the words used in Indian language were explained. It was also marked that this language has not changed since the day it was formed, and it is welcomed by many linguists.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Azerbaijan Sanjay Rana assessed the seminar as an event of great importance and spoke about the benefits of the Sanskrit language. He stressed that there are still problems with learning the language, and it is important to absorb the Sanskrit language deeply in order to learn Indian languages fluently.

Professor Asgar Zeynalov, the head of the Department of Caucasian Studies, presented the book “The East in Voltaire’s Work” to the Indian Ambassador. The seminar ended with discussions.

आज़ेरबैजान भाषाएँ विश्वविद्यालय में “संस्कृत – एक प्राचीन और समृद्ध भाषा है”  के विषय पर  गोष्ठी मनाई गई है  । आज़ेरबैजान भाषाएँ विश्वविद्यालय  की हिंदी शिक्षक रूपाली सिन्हा ने इस कार्यक्रम में उद्घाटन भाषण दिया । भाषण देते समय उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि कई भाषाओं का स्त्रोत संस्कृत से जुड़ रहे हैं और  ईंदो-यूरोपीय भाषा- वर्ग  में एक विशेष स्थान लेती है । रूपाली सिन्हा ने ध्यान दिया कि भारतीय भी “नाव्रूज़ त्योहार ” मना रहे हैं : “हमारी जनता आपकी  तरह नाव्रूज़ मना रही है । मुझे यह जानकर प्रसन्नता हुई  कि आप लोग नाव्रूज़ मना रहे हैं , जो मुझे मेरी मातृभूमि  को याद दिला रहा है ।” गोष्ठी में संस्कृत  के प्रकारों  के बारे में  जानकारी दी गई  और  हिंदी में संस्कृत से आये हुए शब्दों के अर्थ के साथ साथ उनके सही उच्चारण के बारे  में  जताया गया । यही जानकारी भी दी गई कि संस्कृत भाषा  में अभी तक कोई बदलाव नहीं आया है । आज़ेरबैजान में भारतीय  असाधारण  और पूर्णाधिकार-संपन्न  राजदूत संजाय राणा ने स्पष्ट किया कि यह गोष्ठी  अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है और उन्होंने संस्कृत की श्रेष्ठता के बारे में सुनाई  । उन्होंने कहा कि हिंदी को सीखने के लिये संस्कृत जानना  आवश्यक है । इस के बाद, कोकेशियन अध्ययन विभागाध्यक्ष  प्रोफ.अस्केर ज़ेयनालोव  ने अपनी पुस्तक “The East in Voltaire’s work”   राजदूत को प्रदान किया । गोष्ठी  चर्चाओं के साथ समाप्त हुई ।
