The international conference “Modern Problems of Applied Linguisticts” has come to an end in AUL

The 3rd International Scientific Conference on “Modern Problems of Applied Linguistics”, organized by the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) on October 26, has compeleted its work.

Academician Kamal Abdulla, rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, said that during two days an interesting conference was held and the necessary problems of linguistics were discussed. Rector K.Abdulla noted that the helding of the conference in the background of the VI Baku International Humanitarian Forum under the leadership of the President of the country, Mr.Ilham Aliyev, was very pleasing. “The foreign guests participating in the Forum saw that Azerbaijan is the world scale science, culture and politics center”. K.Abdulla said he was pleased to see foreign and local guests attending the conference. The rector said he believes the conference will be continuous: “I am confident that our scientific, culture and moral cooperation will continue. The importance of such conferences will be known as new generation linguists are formed”. Noting that the conference materials were already printed, the rector congratulated those who published their articles in the book and expressed conviction that it would play a significant role in their scientific biography.

Later, the moderators of the sections gave detailed information about section meetings.

Guests from UK, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Finland, Japan, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and other countries, as well as academic staff of AUL and other republican universities attended the conference. Discussions on “The First Experimental and Comparative Linguistics”, “Theoretical and Practical Issues of Sociology”, “Modern Approaches to Teaching Foreign Languages”, “Actual Problems of Interpretation” and “Textual Linguosemiotic Problems” were discussed at the conference. Within the framework of the conference, local and foreign participants participated in master classes by Michael Bayram, professor of England Durham University, as well as master classes by Barbara Lewandowska, Professor of the Konin State University of Applied Sciences.
