On November 8, an event was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages in the Assembly Hall of the Teaching Corpus No.3 on the occasion of the State Flag Day. The event was organized by the Department of Psychology. Senior teacher of the Psychology Department Kenul Babayeva participated at the event together with the groups 113a-b she teachs and other group students.

The event was attended by Vice-rector for Student Affairs Sarraf Huseynov, advisor to the rector Anar Osmanli, dean of the Faculty of Education prof. Fikret Jahangirov, dean of the Faculty of Translations and Cultural Studies, associate professor Shalala Babayeva and the professor-teacher staff of the university. The event was opened with the bringing of a three-color, moon-star flag to the hall, under the sound of Azerbaijan national anthem. Then Nurlan Taghiyev and others talked about the historical significance of the flag for nation and state. Later, the reserve lieutenant, military journalist, war veteran Ibrahim Rustamli, who attended the event, spoke about the patriotic education of the students. Students also demonstrated dance, poetry and music performances. Mehdili Alzaman read the poem “Flag” and he was applaused by everyone. One of the interesting performances was Rza Rufullayev’s guitar accompanying to Murad Aliyev’s mugham rendition. Video clips of students and teachers Flag Day were demonstrated from remote regions of Azerbaijan, as well as from foreign countries. Kenul Babayeva, the senior teacher of the Psychology Department, thanked the students who contributed to the event.

At the end of the event, the Vice-rector for Student Affairs Sarraf Huseynov presented “Gratitude” list to active participants- Osmanova Aytaj, Sadigli Sahila, Jumshudova Aygun, Mirzayeva Sadiga, Seyidzadeh Asmar, Ahmadova Zeynab, Latifli Sema, Ismayilzadeh Fidan, Taghiyev Nurlan, Asafova Ayten, Hidayetli Nigar, Mehbaliyev Mehman, Hasanova Leyla, Mehdili Alzaman, Hasanli Afag, Ibrahimova Dinara, Farzaliyev Muzaffar, Verdiyeva Ayten, Aliyev Murad, Babayeva Samira, Rufullayev Rza.
