Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), acting member of ANAS Kamal Abdulla met with Jairo Lopez Bolanos, the Charge d’affaires of the Republic of Costa Rica in Azerbaijan.

Academician Kamal Abdulla said that there is a need for diplomacy to establish relations with Costa Rica’s intellectuals and universities.

Rector informed Jairo Lopez Bolanos about the “Ambassador’s Hour” project at AUL and invited him to read lectures within the project. K.Abdulla also proposed to create representation of Latin America countries ambassadors at Azerbaijan University of Languages. It was noted that this representation can be a major contribution to the establishment and development of cooperation between higher education institutions in the countries.

Speaking about Azerbaijan multiculturalism, the rector noted that the study of the multicultural situation of the two countries is important for the sharing of experiences and benefiting from these experiences.

Charge d’affaires Jairo Lopez Bolanos expressed his gratitude to the university administration for high hospitality and said that he always heard good words about AUL and stressed that he would welcome the proposals with great enthusiasm.

The ambassador noted the possibility of implementing mutually beneficial projects and marked his readiness to take the necessary steps in this direction.
