19 october, 2018

The Baku Expo Center hosted the 12th International Education Exhibition and highlighted the success of our education system and its future goals.

The exhibition organized under the slogan “Investing in the future of children” brought together more than 130 participants from 12 countries and created a great opportunity for everyone to choose both a specialty and an educational institution.

Participants of the exhibition will be able to communicate directly with representatives of educational institutions, asking questions about the first steps of the admission process, the best preparation for reception, the duration of the reception, the right to education and accommodation, as well as the opportunity to learn the rakings and specialties of the enterprises.

Visitors were also very interested in the stand of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL). At the information stand at the pavilion where the university is represented, our students saw the successful participants of the exhibition, such as “I International Conference dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev”, “Pedagogical experience in refugee schools”, “One-day caliph” and others, they also talked about the centers operating in university.

The event was held at a very high level this year. Looking at educational pavilions, the activity in front of the AUL stand also was amazing. Meanwhile, we were also able to talk to exhibitors.

Almomedov Emil, 11th grade pupil of the Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex, says that the interest in foreign languages brings him together to the Azerbaijan University of Language: “The exhibition has really been organized at a high level. I have met many universities, but due to my interest in foreign languages, I have become more interested in Azerbaijan University of Language. I have gained a lot of information. I highly appreciate the activity of AUL in recent years. Stands and information are good, because we can already define a university that will change our lives before or after the entrance exams. Azerbaijan University of Languages will be at the forefront in my choice list”.

Representatives of the company and marketers are also active in the international exhibition.

Then we talked with Gunel Hasanova, Sales and Marketing Specialist at “Azecolab”. The marketer said that companies benefit from the international education exhibition: “The international exhibition is a great chance for us to get acquainted with the education institutions and other companies we can cooperate with. Foreign universities are also represented at the exhibition. Azerbaijan University of Languages also has a great potential in this area. Many foreign languages are taught and centers are functioning. We also monitor the work of the university in the press. Companies are working to further develop their employees’ language skills. I think that AUL’s current activity is a great chance for them”.

Gunel Baghirova, the 10th grade student of school No.262, said she would choose Azerbaijan University of Languages: “I am preparing for the III group and want to be and English language teacher. I analyzed the AUL stand. The university has many features. My interest in foreign languages is quite high. We live in a multicultural country, representatives from different countries are guests in Azerbaijan. I love to communicate with foreigners. I think that I can serve my country seriously by increasing my language skills. The international exhibition further enhances our world view. I sincerely hope that the exhibition will be sustainable”.

Among the participants of the exhibition there were also students of Azerbaijan University of Languages. It is really interesting, if the AUL students are satisfied with the presentation. To find the respond to this question, we talked with Afag Mammadova, a fourth-year student of AUL. Afag says that while other local and foreign universities are represented at the exhibition, AUL is more attractive to me: “I look forward to see such exhibitions every year. I became acquainted with the activities of many universities, interested in foreign university education programs. Let’s admit that our native university is more colorful this year. There were very important events in AUL over the past year. We are very proud of participating in these projects. Almost most projects are reflected in the stand”.

We continued our conversation with another pupil of the Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex- Rahim Badalzadeh. Rahim notes that the Azerbaijan University of Languages has been a highly developed foreign language education institution for the past few years: “I am studying in the 11th grade. As you know, we are preparing for the entrance exams. Recently, I was interesting in foreign languages taught at AUL. I’m more interested in the Serbian language, which is a less spoken language in our country. It is pleasant to me that the Serbian language is already taught in Azerbaijan. This is a very important issue. I am even aware that the Serbian language and culture center has been opened at the Azerbaijani University of Languages this year with the participation of the Serbian President. The existence and activity of such a university in our country is proud. At present, if I take into account my chance and interest, Azerbaijan University of Languages is in the 1st and 2nd places among the universities to choose from”.

A second-year student of Sabah groups at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art, Gunesh Baghirova’s love for the Indian language and culture draws her to the Azerbaijan University of Languages: “I have come to the stand according to my specialty and now I am interested in the University of Languages, because my interest in Indian is really great. From my entrant period I had a plan to study at AUL Indian studies department. Organization of such kind of events is commendable, as it further extends our relations”.

At the end, we talked to 4th year students of AUL Nijat Ashurov and Rana Suleymanli, who provide information to the participants of the pavilion of the Azerbaijan University of Languages. It was noted that among the participants of the exhibition there are more applicants: “Our university centers, taught languages, projects were more interesting for them, and we would say that they also attract them. Not only pupils, but a lot of other university students are very interested in the “One-Day Caliph” project. We would like to note that Minister of Education Mr.Jeyhun Bayramov, who attended the opening ceremony yesterday, was interested in the projects carried out by our university, particularly the pedagogical experience at the regional refugee schools, and noted that holding this project in other universities would be a priceless step”.
