Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, Acting member of ANAS Kamal Abdulla met with Argentinean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Carlos Dante Riva. Welcoming the guest, the rector wished him new, successful appointments because of completion of his term of office. Kamal Abdulla said that Mr.Carlos Dante Riva has special service in the development of Azerbaijan-Argentina relations. The Rector said he hopes that the high level relations between Argentina and Azerbaijan will continue to grow and further develop: “We are interested in establishing contacts with Argentine universities and are happy to take steps in this direction. At the same time, we can invite specialists in Argentine history, culture, literature, and this will be the first aid that we want to see in the future in the direction of Argentina studies. One of my biggest wishes is to open an Argentinian-based specialty at our university”.

Kamal Abdulla said that his educational institution, was interested in establishing contacts with Argentine universities and offered to establish a Tango association at Azerbaijan University of Languages.

The Rector also said he wanted to establish the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture in Argentina.

Expressing his gratitude to the university administration for the sincere attitude, Ambassador Carlos Dante Riva recalled early days in Azerbaijan and added that it was exactly those days that he visited AUL. The Ambassador said that AUL is one of the most influential universities that fulfill great innovations in the direction of approaching of civilizations: “Five years ago when I started working as an ambassador, I had one of my first meetings at the Azerbaijan University of Languages. Please note that all local employees of our embassy are graduates of the Azerbaijan University of Languages. I hope the relations between the two countries will continue and expand”.

The ambassador said the relations between the AUL and the Argentinean embassy are at a high level and hopes for further development of relations.
