Ambassadors of Hungary and India visited AUL

On April 21, the acting rector of AUL, Professor Afgan Abdullayev met with the Indian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Sanjay Rana at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).
Greeting the guest Professor A.Abdullayev was glad to see him at the university. Speaking about the history of the university, teaching process, and international relations professor provided information about the languages taught at the University. He spoke about the Hindi language and culture center in order to better embrace culture, history, geography and language of India. A.Abdullayev spoke about the measures initiated and organized by the Center and Indian studies students’ articles published in the "Namaste Baku" magazine in India.
Noting that India's strong state, the two countries have close cooperation not only in diplomatic, as well as in other areas, professor said. He expressed confidence in further strengthening of relations between the university and the embassy in the result of the implementation of joint projects.
Expressing his gratitude for warm reception, the ambassador S.Rana praised AUL students’ interest in Hindi language. As embassy they are ready to aid the expansion of Hindi language and culture center, he noted. it was noted that there are opportunities for the introduction of Hindi teachers from India in collaboration with S.Rana. He said that there is close cooperation between the embassy and the university and spoke about the events as a result of the organization.
During the meeting, prospects of future cooperation, organization of joint projects and exchange of teachers and students were discussed.
Another meeting took place between vice rector for International Relations of AUL, Associate Professor J.Garibova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary Imre Laslotski.
Vice rector welcomed the guest and expressed satisfaction with his visit. She noted that the Hungarian language is taught at School of Regional studies and International Relations.
Expressing his gratitude for warm reception, the ambassador praised the teaching of the Hungarian language at the University. He stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of education for the development of bilateral relations.
At the same time, discussions were held on prospects for further cooperation and the new Hungarian language teacher who will be assigned to the University.
