AUL held conference on “Heydar Aliyev and modern youth"

On April 21, on the initiative of History Club operating under Student Youth Organization (SYO) of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) a conference "Heydar Aliyev and modern youth" was held dedicated to the  94th anniversary of the date of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

In his opening speech, AUL Vice rector for Educational Affairs, Aladdin Aliyev spoke about the life and work of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The youth policy in Azerbaijan was laid by Heydar Aliyev, he said. The national leader, founder of the independent state attached great importance to the development of the youth and their education, A.Aliyev said.

 Director of the Center for Strategic Studies Farhad Mammadov gave detailed information about coming to power and foreign policy defined by national leader Heydar Aliyev known as an influential political figure in the world. The nationwide leader has undisputed role, invaluable contribution to the formation of young people as a true citizen of Azerbaijan, F.Mammadov said and noted that the youth policy always had a special place in his rich and spectacular public activities.

Director of Youth Education Center Fakhraddin Hasanzadeh spoke about great leader Heydar Aliyev’s youth policy, successes of youth in the field of science and education, culture and sports.

Professor of department of social sciences Mahammed Teymurlu, associate professor of the department Shalala Baghirova and the rector’s advisor Ilgar Guliyev informed the participants about the policy, and unparalleled services of national leader for Azerbaijani people. Speakers informed about , establishment of Ministry of Youth and Sports  in 1994 - in the implementation of youth policy and the centralized coordination of various youth organizations, holding of the I Republican Youth Forum in 1996 - February 2  with the participation of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, decrees and orders signed by nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev  in connection with youth policy.

In the end, the video was shown prepared by students of the university dedicated to the national leader Heydar.
