On March 13,employees of Confucius Institute operating within Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) and Chinese studies students took part in  tree planting campaign  dedicated to the national  Chinese  holiday “Day of  planting trees”. The main purpose of the event is to draw people's attention to the protection of green areas, led by the vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, and support the work done by the IDEA. Director of Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov noted that the "Day of planting trees" dedicated to the memory of the eminent political figure, Chinese revolutionary Sun Yatsen. Note that Sun Yatsen took the most important measures to overcome the drought and floods in China, as well as  initiated tree planting.
