AUL students staged "Pygmalion" play
On May 26, on the initiative of the university's English language department the British writer George Bernard Shaw’s "Pygmalion" play was staged in the English language at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL). I and III year students of the School of Translation staged the same play, that was directed by the head of the mentioned department, Associate Professor Tamilla Amirova and on the script of the senior teacher of oral comprehension and speech 2 Nurlanan Heybetova.
First, Dean of the School of Translation Zarina Aslanova welcomed the guests and gave detailed information about the play of B.Shaw drama "Pygmalion".
Then scenes from the play were shown.
In the end, the acting rector of AUL, Professor Afgan Abdullayev praised the initiative, saying that students demonstrated the play in a professional level. This work plays an important role in the development of students' language skills, he added.
Note that along with the teaching staff and students of the university, the US and British embassies also attended the event.
