Creative staff of China Central Television's CCTV-4 has visited the Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL). Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov spoke about the activities of the organization headed by him and stressed the importance of holding seminars on the creation and development of the Silk Road Economic Space and the geostrategic role of Azerbaijan in the rehabilitation of the Silk Road. Speaking about Azerbaijan's centuries-old history, unique nature and ancient culture, he highlighted the transit position of our country in the development of the Great Silk Road. Professor said that in recent years, a student and teacher exchange between China and AUL has been expanded, and 10 students of the University's Chinese Studies specialty have successfully graduated from Shenzhen Pedagogical University in China. He acquainted guests at the Confucius Institute with a study of National Hero Heydar Aliyev's political heritage and President Ilham Aliyev's activity on the development of multifaceted cooperation and friendship between Azerbaijan and China. The delegation met with participants of the Azerbaijani-Chinese linguocultural camp organized by the University of Chinatown and the Confucius Institute. Finally, AUL students performed colorful art programs. They performed poems in Chinese, performed Chinese songs and dances.
