Employee of the Confucius Institute under the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Afsana Balayeva, attended the high level interpreting courses at the Beijing Languages and Culture University at the State Office for Chinese Language Abroad. The main objective of the course was to acquaint with modern Chinese language teaching methods and teaching techniques, listen to lectures on Chinese diplomacy and philosophy, and participate in master classes on art and calligraphy in China. A. Balayeva also presented the book "Ilham Aliyev - a contemporary follower of friendship between two ancient people", prepared by President of the Confucius Institute under the Azerbaijan State University, Professor Rafig Abbasov, who contributed to President Ilham Aliyev's contribution to the development of Azerbaijani-Chinese relations. The book presents a wide-ranging activity of President Ilham Aliyev in the development of bilateral political, economic and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and China in 2003-2017.

Director of the Confucius Institute of AUL, Professor Rafig Abbasov emphasized that the main purpose of the Confucius Institute's participation in such high level courses was to enrich the information base of the Confucius Institute with public-political materials, official documents, level translation.

It should be noted that representatives of Russia, USA, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and others attended the courses.
