A delegation from the Indonesian Foreign Ministry visited the AUL

On August 28, rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Acting member of ANAS, honored scientist Kamal Abdulla met with delegation headed by Director of the Department for South and Central Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Ferdy Nico Johannes Piay.

Expressing his satisfaction with the delegation's visit to AUL, the rector said that this meeting was a natural phenomenon. He noted that AUL is teaching Indonesian language, literature, culture and history. Speaking about Indonesian Research Center at the University, the rector said that each year 10 students of AUL are prepared on the Indonesian language course. "I would like to note with pleasure that these students are learning Indonesian culture, history, literature and language with great enthusiasm. There is not only an Indonesian embassy in Azerbaijan, but also has an Indonesian community ".

In turn, F.N.Y.Piay said they are aware of the activity of the Indonesian Research Center at AUL. Highly appreciating the activity of the Center, the guest noted that it serves to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Speaking about cooperation in the field of education between the two countries, the diplomat said that under the initiative of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani language and culture center will be opened and our societies will be closer to each other. In reply, K. Abdulla added that AUL is ready to create a center of Azerbaijani language and culture at one of the universities recommended in Indonesia and to send it to the center to work in that center. K. Abdulla said that Indonesian students can learn Azerbaijani language, literature, history and culture in accordance with their wishes: "The more Indonesian experts in Indonesia and Azerbaijan, the more economic and cultural structures can be very close to each other ".

Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Husnan Bey Fanani said the Indonesian side is well aware of the opening of the Azerbaijani language and culture center and that the specific university has been identified. He said that he had received an oral consent from the leadership of the university on the opening of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture Center at the Indonesian University of Jakarta. At present, the embassy expects an official response from the university, and as soon as the letter arrives, the AUL will be informed promptly.

The meeting focused on the further expansion of the Indonesian Research Center at AUL, the implementation of multicultural events, and so on. and exchange of views on issues.

After the meeting, the guests visited the Indonesian Studies Center as well as other language and cultural centers operating at the university.
