A delegation led by Vice President of China's Sian University of Economics and Finance, Professor Li Jiaojui visited Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

 Rafig Abbasov, director of the Confucius Institute of Azerbaijan University of Languages, told the guests about the directions of development of Azerbaijani-Chinese economic relations, noting that the Republic of Azerbaijan is an important country in the implementation of the Silk Road Economic Zone project with its geographical position and rich resources. He recalled President Ilham Aliyev's state visit to China in 2015 and said he visited Sian, an ancient Silk Road, and familiarized himself with the technology park of the Chansi automobile company.

 China's Director of the Confucius Institute, Li Jihua, briefed the guests on the research activities of the Confucius Institute, conducting research on China's initiative and student scientific seminars on Chinese economy.

Professor Li Jiaojui shared his impressions about his visit to Azerbaijan and expressed his interest in scientific cooperation with AUL Confucius Institute.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects between the two organizations.

 In the end, the guests from China were presented a book entitled "Ilham Aliyev - a contemporary follower of friendship of two ancient people" dedicated to the activities of President Ilham Aliyev, published by AUL in Azerbaijani and Chinese languages.
