The Confucius Institute of AUL took part in the Cookery Day

Employees of the Confucius Institute operating under the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) have attended the celebration of the Culinary Day organized by the National Culinary Center of Azerbaijan. The event was organized as part of the Confucius Institute's Day, as well as a culinary show called "Eight Top Catering in Chinese Cuisine". Well-known chief chef Li Canjui, from Beijing, shared with colleagues from Azerbaijan the secrets of cooking meat, vegetables, fish and seafood in Chinese cuisine. The presentation of dishes was accompanied by traditional bamboo, flute sounds of ancient Chinese melodies and a dance consisting of Tai chuan gymnastic refreshing movements. At the same time, the guests felt the fragrance of the popular Chinese tea and attended the Chinese tea ceremony. Later, director of Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov noted that Chinese and Azerbaijani cuisine traditions are an important part of national culture. He said that the presentation of colorful and unique cuisine of Azerbaijan to the Chinese public is one of the priorities of the Confucius Institute's activity. Employees of the Confucius Institute presented Chinese cuisine and took an active part in the culinary events. It should be noted that the staff of the Confucius Institute was the recipient of the International Gabala Jam Festival and Khachmaz DolmaFestival.
