Chinese musicians gave a concert at AUL

Chinese musicians performed a concert at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) on October 24. The events organized by the Confucius Institute under the auspices of AUL, art workers from Shandon Pedagogical University have enjoyed the audience's taste with colorful musical samples.

Prof. Afgan Abdullayev, AUL  Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs spoke about the importance of musical art, the development of Azerbaijani-Chinese relations in the field of culture and emphasized the importance of reciprocal visits of creative groups to implement multiculturalism policy.

Commercial Adviser to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Azerbaijan Van Chun Blood noted the importance of humanitarian cooperation within the framework of the Revival Program of the Great Silk Road.

Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov stressed the great interest shown by Chinese music culture in Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that Chinese art team would help Azerbaijani youth to get acquainted with the ancient confessional culture.

 Speaking about the satisfaction of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan, Shandon Pedagogical University's Art Group Director, Professor Chi Shulin spoke about the cultural traditions of the higher education institution, as well as the steps taken to expand students' exchange with various universities.

The concert featured ancient Chinese instruments and flute Chinese folk music, dance numbers from the traditional Beijing opera, and staged numbers of Chinese masters of martial arts.

The event was also attended by AUL's Dalga dance group.
