An event devoted to the memory of one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR), prominent statesman, lawyer, journalist Alimardan bey Topchubashov was held at Azerbaijan University of Languages on November 2.

Opening the event, the head of the International Relations Department of AUL,  Associate Professor  Aida Yusifzadeh gave brief information about A.Topchubashov.

Professor Solmaz Rustamova-Tohidi, a leading researcher at the Azerbaijan Scientific Research Laboratory, professor of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, spoke on "Topchubashov as a political figure and diplomat" and gave detailed information about his political activity, life and creative moments. . He underlined that A. Topchubashov had a great job in the formation of the ideology of Azerbaijanism and the ADR's de-facto recognition. Rustamova-Tohidi then answered the questions of students and teachers.

Rector of AUL, acting member of ANAS, honored scientist Kamal Abdulla highlighted the importance of events organized in the framework of the Auditorium+ program. "The subject presented by the Azerbaijan research laboratory was greeted with enthusiasm both by students and me. I value the interest of students in such topics very positively. Today, the topic discussed here is of historical and political significance. One student asked a question about ethnic composition of the then government and parliament. It was an interesting question, and drew my attention. One important point in this question is that Azerbaijan always has a multicultural environment. It is no coincidence that in the writings of our prominent public and political figures, our writers, we always have records of the importance of preserving multicultural values. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev continues this tradition and takes serious steps to protect multicultural values. Last year, as you know, was proclaimed "Year of Multiculturalism." I want to emphasize one point here. Holding this event at the Heydar Aliyev Museum-Laboratory, I think it is not accidental and has special significance. The great leader is a genius person who carried out the ideas of the Republic at the highest level ".
