An Event Entitled "French Literature of the 16th Century" was Held at AUL

On November 15, the French Information Center organized the event entitled "French Literature of the 16th Century" at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).
Making an opening speech at the ceremony, Philippe Siro, the Director of Baku French Lyceum spoke about schools and foreign languages, taught in France, as well as young people able to speak several foreign languages and their language learning abilities in Azerbaijan.
Jean Luc Dubray, the teacher of the Lyceum gave the students information about the history and territory of France in the 16th century, and spoke about the events that took place around France and acquainted the students with the map of Europe of the above- mentioned period. J. L.Dubray also talked about the development of painting, music, literature, cultural patterns and historical monuments during the reigning period of Francua I, Henry IV, and dwelt on the religious wars, literary men, writers, and their life and activity.
At the end of the event, Jean Luc Dubray recited the poems by Pierre De Ronsar, Luiz Labe, Moris Ssev and answered the students’ questions.
