On February 14, department of Social Sciences of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) hosted the roundtable on “the spread of Islam and national-moral values in Azerbaijan”. The roundtable was attended by  vice rector for  Educational Affairs, Professor Aladdin Aliyev, department of regional studies, as well as  the employees of other departments and head of the department of Social sciences , Associate Professor  Adalat Abdiyeva  provided  information on  history of  creation of Islamic,  moral values, about the influence to the culture of Azerbaijan. Speaking about freedom and equality of various nations and religions in our country A.Abdiyeva noted that the religion has a great role in the establishment of economic and cultural relations. She stressed the importance of declaring 2017 the year of “Islam solidarity” by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev. Professor of social sciences Mehriban Abbasov   made a speech on "The role of the Arabs in the elimination of the Albanian state", Associate Professor Khatira Hajiyeva on "the spread of Islam in Azerbaijan,", Associate Professor  Shalala  Baghirova on "Islamic culture and statehood", Senior Lecturer Sevda Mammadova on  " Tax policy and trade development in Azerbaijan ", teacher Gunel  Garayeva on  "common characteristics of Islam and ancient religious beliefs " , and provided information  on religious solidarity and Islam. Round-table ended with discussions.
