AUL held a roundtable on “Opportunities and challenges for people with disabilities. Inclusive education”

On February 17, vice rectorate for International Relations of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) hosted the roundtable on “Opportunities and challenges for people with disabilities. Inclusive education ".
The university's vice-rector for International Relations, Professor J.Garibova brought into the attention that round table dedicated to the social integration of people with disabilities, and thanked everyone who participated in the discussion of this important issue. Noting that inclusive education is the priorities of Azerbaijan education, a series of events were held on this subject, she added. Speaking about the journal “Cherchiveden kenar” (Outside the frame) prepared by the vice rectorate for International Relations , said that it unites the ideas for the development of society and it was drawn up by young people.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation, Norwegian ambassador's assistant, Kerstin Vahlberq spoke about the essence of inclusive education, its implementation in Norway, the opportunities created for people who lost their health. Speaking on the reintegration of physically impaired people into the society ambassador’s assistant said that the law relating to people with disabilities exists in his own country.
Senior research fellow of the inclusive education department at the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Suleymanov, inclusive education coordinator at Economic University Sevinj Masimova, coordinator of the Center for Students with Disabilities of Khazar University Rima Mammadova spoke about " Philosophy of inclusive education ", "Formation of inclusive event", " Problems related to Inclusive education "," The guiding principles of the Declaration of Salamanca "," The factors that make possible qualitative inclusive education "," Statistical number of students with disabilities studying in higher education institutions "," ESFIDIP Tempus project "and other topics, the chairman of the Integration of Persons with disabilities to society Ramila Mahmudova, NASA senior research fellow at the Institute of Law and Human rights Mayis Aliyev, lecturer of the department of international economics of Azerbaijan State Economic University, Turan Suleymanov informed about these issues. The round table, as well as the first way of integration to the society of the people who lost their health is via their families, it was noted at the roundtable.
Speaking about the role of society, department head of the Department of De-institutionalization and Child Protection at the Ministry of Education Anar Khalafov, talked about their skills, and the future of the labor activities.
Speaking about the organization “Qusursuz sevgi” ("Perfect love") student of the College of Communication and Transport, No. 1 Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for young people with limited health capabilities of people who lost their health spoke about their complexes and opinions against them in the society.
In the end, proposals on the subject were put forward, discussions were held.
