On February 28, head of the Regional English Language Office of the US State Department John Silver visited Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL). Acting rector of AUL, Professor Afgan Abdullayev expressed his pleasure of seeing him at the university and gave detailed information about the curriculum process and international relations. During the meeting, the issues of training of English teachers, English-language teaching professionals to teach students studying on this specialty were discussed. During the discussions issues were touched upon related to effective cooperation between the Regional English Language Office of the US State Department and AUL. Counselor for culture and education of the Public Relations Officer of the US Embassy Amy Petersen also attended the meeting. After the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the University's Information Resource Complex.
