On March 2, the Confucius Institute operating under the University hosted the meeting with the well-known scholar of China's Central Economic University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Zhang Pin  at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

The Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov  provided information on  the institute's scientific, educational and social activities, as well as the investigation conducted in the direction of implementation of  globally revival of the historic Silk Road "A belt and a way" of China. He spoke about the political legacy of national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s contribution in the direction of multilateral friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and China and acquainted the guests with the database.

Zhang Pin expressed his pleasure, highly appreciated the activity of the Confucius Institute’s Chinese language and teaching activities, as well as the China's history, culture and modern life. Chinese scholar said that the activity of Confucius Institute has made great contributions in strengthening traditional friendship relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and China.

In the end, views were exchanged on cooperation in the field of social psychology, environmental issues and economic policy.
