On April 18, the Confucius Institute operating within  Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) hosted the seminar on  "The art of China in Azerbaijan  museums ". Speaking at the opening the Director of the Confucius Institute by Azerbaijani side, Professor Rafig Abbasov spoke about the development of Azerbaijan-China relations in the field of museums, and stressed the importance of agreement  concluded  on cooperation in the field of  culture between Azerbaiuajn and China during the historical visit of national leader Heydar Aliyev to China. Within the framework of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to China in 2015, he was familiar with rich collections that reflect the history and culture of China in Beijing Capital Museum and Terracotta Army Museum in the city of Xi'an. The head of the archaeological pottery and porcelain collection of the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan Fidan Muradaliyeva spoke about the art features and basic types of the Chinese porcelain. Employee of Azerbaijan National History Museum Gunel Aliyeva spoke about the unique exhibits which are associated with the history of the Great Silk Road in Azerbaijan - China trade relations. The head of the public affairs department of the State Museum of Azerbaijan Musical Culture Khanim Abdinova provided information about features of collection of musical instruments in China and the role of the Turkish traditional music culture in the expansion of cultural relations in the Silk.
