On October 16, the Linguoculturology Department of the University hosted an event dedicated to the 18th October - Independence Day within Auditorium + Program at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

Professor Masmakhanim Gaziyeva, the head of the Linguoculturology Department, said opening of the event was dedicated to the Day of State Independence, which is a significant event in the history of Azerbaijan. She noted that our people have been dreaming of independence for centuries, and today we are proud of our independence.

Then the artistic part of the event began. Students of the University have provided detailed information about the states and their territories that have been formed in the historical territory of our country since ancient times. They noted that in the twentieth century, Azerbaijan gained independence twice in the history of the People's Republic and the independent Republic of Azerbaijan in complicated historical conditions. It was noted at the event that after the return of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to our country, our country has been developing in the political and economic spheres, and his political course is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

The national animation film "Azerbaijan's history in 5 minutes" was shown at the event. The poem "Azerbaijan" by national poet Samad Vurgun was screened.
