On December 5, an enlightenment meeting was held within the framework of the program “Auditorium +” at Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​(AUL). The meeting was held within the framework of the project " To the Healthy Life without  Drugs, Cigarettes and Alcohols “ by the financial support of the  Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and by the organizational support of  the Public Association  (PA)"Doctors and Physician Studnets". Deputy Chairman of the PA Agil Abbasov said “the Union has been operating since 2007 and has been implementing a number of projects in the field of healthcare. Speaking about the current project he mentioned that the project is being organized at other higher and secondary educational institutions, as well. Trainer, physician Farid Rustamli gave a number of recommendations on how to use alcohol, preventive medical check-up, neglected vaccine, healthy eating, daily fluid intake, regular sleep, sports effect on health and keeping out of  stress. Talking about narcotics, F. Rustamli acquainted the participants with their types, physical effects, diagnostics, statistical data in Azerbaijan and all over the world. F. Rustamli also spoke about the effects of alcohol on the brain, nerve system, stomach, heart and blood circulation, human genes. He dwelt on the history of tobaccomania, mentioning hookahs and heavy materials, the so-called "light ways", tobacco addiction, tobacco-related illnesses, and the dangers of smoking. Doctor of the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health Shahla Mirzazadeh spoke about the ways of combating drug addiction and underlined the importance of such kind of enlightenment events. Noting that the formation of a healthy society is the duty of not only doctors but also of everyone, Sh.Mirzazadeh expressed their readiness to render any assistance in this direction on their part. The meeting was also attended by the leading advisor of the Youth and Sports Department of Nasimi District Ramin Ismayilov.
