Relations of Azerbaijan University of Languages with Belarus are Expanding

The Next Cooperation Contract was Signed with Minsk State Linguistic University Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​(AUL) has made a significant contribution to the expansion of its international relations. On February 2, a cooperation contract was signed between the authoritative higher education institution of our country and Minsk State Linguistic University of Belarus. The contract was signed by Rector of AUL, Full Member of the ANAS, Honored Scientist Kamal Abdulla and Rector of Minsk State Linguistic University, Professor Natalya Baranova. Speaking at the ceremony, the heads of both Universities emphasized that the signed contract opens great opportunities for both sides. It was noted that this document envisages the expansion of student and teacher exchanges between Universities, mutual cooperation in the field of professional development of the teaching staff, joint scientific publications, and conferences, symposia, seminars and so on. Rector of Minsk State Linguistic University N.Baranova said that they are informed of the conference entitled “Heydar Aliyev: Ideology of Multiculturalism and Tolerance” dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev which will be held  by AUL,   and if the Organizing Committee agrees, they are ready to organize a forum session  of this spectacular conference in Minsk. Expressing his gratitude to his collegues from Belarus for respecting the memory of the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev Academician K.Abdulla welcomed their offer as chairman of the Organizing Committee. ProfessorN. Baranova also stressed their desire to create the Center of the Azerbaijani language and culture at Minsk State Linguistic University. Highly appreciating this idea, Acad. K.Abdulla thanked his colleague for their interest to Azerbaijan. Mentioning that AUL will do its best for that, Rector noted that Center of the Belarusian language and culture will also be established at University. Then, Rector K.Abdulla presented his Belarusian colleague the book "Literary and Artistic Resources of Azerbaijani Multiculturalism". The offers were welcomed by the participants of the signing ceremony, too. The ceremony was followed by the memorial event dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the great writer Hussein Javid with the participation of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belarus. According to the Decree signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of 135 anniversary  of the great Azerbaijani poet and playwright  Hussein Javid, the ceremony was attended by the Ambassadors of China, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan to Belarus, as well as the former  Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, known as a friend of Azerbaijanis  Nikolay Paskevich, Chairman of  Belarusian Writer's Union Nikolay Cherginets, the teaching staff and students of University. Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Belarus L.S. Gandilov gave all-round information about Hussein Javid's creativity. In his turn, Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​K.Abdulla said that today Hussein Javid's heritage is highly respected in Azerbaijan and that the ideas of multiculturalism propagated by Javid  have become the lifestyle of our people. Noting that multiculturalism has been raised to the level of state policy in Azerbaijan, Academician emphasized the exceptional services of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in this area and said that President Ilham Aliyev has been implementing this line, declaring 2016 "Year of Multiculturalism" and 2017 "Year of Islamic Solidarity".. Then, students from Minsk recited poems by Hussein Javid in Belarusian and Russian and read extracts from his works. The Azerbaijani music acted by Belarusian performers were welcomed with  the storms applause.
