The guest gave a lecture to students at AUL "Ambassador's hour"

On October 23, the rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Active member of ANAS, honored scientist Kamal Abdulla met with United Nations Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Gulam Ishagzai.

Greeting the guest, Abdulla expressed his hope that his lecture under the "Ambassador's Hour" will not be the first and last lecture at AUL, and will regularly meet with the students and convey his ideas to them. Speaking about the existence of the multicultural environment and ideas in Azerbaijan, K.Abdulla gave a broad introduction to the guest book "Literary and artistic sources of Azerbaijan multiculturalism".

He thanked the rector for high hospitality. Noting that the 25th anniversary of Azerbaijan's accession to the UN was completed, the guest expressed his gratitude for the opening of the UN Week's first event at the University of Languages. He expressed his hope that the cooperation will continue to grow at a higher level. Emphasizing that the youth are the key actors of the UN, Ishagzai always said that he was happy with the contact with them.

After the meeting, Isagzai met with the students of the university within the framework of the new "Ambassador's Hour" project.

Speaking on the topic "United Nations - Azerbaijan: 25 years of partnership", Ishagzai spoke about the establishment and activities of the organization. Noting the historical facts, Ishagzai spoke about the institutions included in the organization. Speaking about the purposes of the UN, Mr. Isagzai provided detailed information on the essence of the principles such as the equality of members, the peaceful settlement of peaceful relations, assistance to all members, ensuring peace and security, respect for the fundamental rights and freedoms of the people. Speaking about the members of the organization, the guest spoke about the membership of Azerbaijan since 1992. Speaking about the services rendered to Azerbaijan within the framework of 25 years of cooperation within the United Nations, Ishagzai spoke about the work being done to solve the cultural, political, economic, cultural and human dimensions. G. Ishagzai advised young people to be active in finding new alternatives.

The meeting continued with answers to questions of interest.
