Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) held a solemn event, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the famous scientist's birth, Associate Professor Shaban Shabanov. the event opened with the presenter's opening speech and continued showing a video reflecting the rich scientific and pedagogical activities of Professor Shaban Shabanov.

Then the speech was made by AUL rector, Academician Kamal Abdulla, who spoke about Shaban Sabanov's invaluable contribution to germanic philology and science in general, and also dwelled in detail on his pedagogical activities and attitude towards students: "The place of Shaban muellim in our university cannot be overstated. He is the author of interesting and valuable scientific works. His mission as a  teacher, as a person, as a mentor, he fulfilled with devotion. He has never spared his knowledge for students - and in this his truly priceless wealth."

The rector also announced the publication of a new book, dedicated to Shaban Shabanov, and on behalf of the teaching staff of AUL, presented it to the jubilee as a gift. Memories, scientific reflections and kind words about the jubilee were shared by colleagues- university teachers: among them: Candidate Of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Naiba Javadzade, Doctor Of Philology Sciences, Professor Fakhraddin Veyselli, Doctor Of Philological Sciences, Professor Farman Zeinally, Candidate Of Philological Sciences, Professor Arif Huseynov, Candidate Of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Ulduz Aslanova, Candidate Of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Hagigat Hajieva, Senior Teacher Yusif Savalan and Candidate Of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Shamsinur Aslanova.

The event continued with an artistic composition, prepared by the university students. Words of gratitude to the management of AUL and all participants were expressed by the members of Shaban Shabanov's family. They emphasized that such a high the level of the anniversary is not only a source for their pride, but also a deep moral recognition of the scientist's life path. in conclusion, professor shaban shabanov thanked the AUL management, colleagues and students for attention and respect, stressing that  this anniversary became not only a personal holiday for him, but also a sign of appreciation all his scientific and pedagogical activities.

The anniversary event was remembered by the participants for its content, sincere performances and a soulful atmosphere, leaving a bright trace in memory of all those gathered.
