AUL has become a member of the International Turkic Academy, which is affiliated institution of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (the Turkic Council)
The Vice Rector for the |International Relations Jala Garibova took part in the 3rd Summit of the International Turkic Academy– an affiliated institution of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (the Turkic Council) at the Kyrgyzstan-Turkey “Manas” University in Bishkek on April 19th -20th, 2018.
Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) became a member of the International Turkic Academy, which is affiliated institution of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (the Turkic Council) at this Summit. Turkic Academy is an international organization, which has been functioning since 2009, and it aims to coordinate and promote research in the field of Turkic languages, literature, culture, history and ethnography. Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are members of the abovementioned Turkic Council.
Vice Rector for the International Relations Jala Garibova gave a presentation on the establishment and history of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, its activity and international relations as well as academic programs, grants and projects it offers.
Vice Rector spoke about the faculties and chairs and gave a brief information about the departments, centers, sections and scientific-research laboratories at AUL. Jala Garibova also mentioned the fact that AUL has bilateral and multilateral relations with a number of international universities and organizations and as a fruitful result of these cooperation more than 500 students benefitted from this opportunity and studied at different universities all over the world.
Vice Rector also emphasized that a number of distinguished professors, lecturers and specialists on English, German, French, Hungarian, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin language teaching from all over the world come to AUL and deliver lectures. She also mentioned that as a positive outcome of this cooperation a lot of international students do courses at AUL.
Jala Garibova also highlighted that within the framework of Mevlana and Erasmus+ programs, AUL is in close cooperation with a number of universities in Turkey.
