Ataturk and Youth: A Look into the Future" event was held at AUL

On May 19, 2025, an event entitled "Ataturk and Youth: A Look into the Future" was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL). The initiators of the event were the teachers of the Department of Regional Studies of the Eastern Countries - Fidan Aleskerova and Aygun Soltanzade.

The opening speech was made by the teacher of the department Aygun Soltanzade, who spoke about the historical significance and essence of May 19 - the Day of Remembrance of Ataturk, Youth and Sports. She stressed the importance of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's landing in Samsun and noted that this event was a turning point in the history of Turkey.

381st group Turkish Studies specialty students, Sara Mamedova and Eldar Alizade made a presentation on the topic "Ataturk's Roadmap", during which they talked about the key moments in his life.

Then the senior lecturer of the Department of Regional Studies of the Eastern Countries, head of the Test Center Fidan Aleskerova, performed a poetic work "The Cart of Mustafa Kemal".

The event continued with a theatrical skit prepared by Turkish Studies sttudents, in which the reforms, carried out by Atatürk, were reflected. Mehman Gulaliyev (group 478), Sara Mamedova and Zarifa Jafarova (group 381), Gunel Muradly and Aygul Jamalova (group 286), Imamali Chingiz (group 187), took part in the performance.

During the event, a student of the 187th group Riyad Mamedli cooked a traditional dish of the period of the national liberation struggle - chigkofte.

Vugar Alizade, student of group 286, read his own poem called "I am a Turkish nation". Zeynab Kasymova (group 381) and Imamali Chingiz (group 187) spoke about the laws adopted in Turkey in recent years in the field of youth policy and sports.

Aygun Aliyeva (group 187) told about the history of Turkish coffee, Ataturk's favorite drink, and prepared coffee for the participants of the event.

At the end, Zeynab Kasymova (group 381) and Alovsat Ibragimov (group 187) performed "reyhani" dance, and students Aysun Fatalizade and Tugai Eyyubov (group 187) performed the traditional Turkish “zeybek" dance.

Regional Studies and International Relations Faculty Dean, Professor Ibrahim Kyazymbeyli, concluded the event with the final speech, dedicated to Ataturk.
