A meeting with Kamal Abdulla was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center of Surakhan district

A meeting with AUL Rector, academician, people's writer Kamal Abdulla, organized on April 24 by Baku City Main Department of Culture within the framework of the project "We have a guest", was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Surakhan district.
The event was attended by officials, cultural figures, media representatives, residents of the Surakhan district and other guests.
The leading journalist of the event, Gyunay Firudin qizi, spoke about the works of people’s writer Kamal Abdulla. It was said that Kamal Abdulla is one of the most read, recognizable and beloved authors of modern Azerbaijani literature.
The speakers emphasized the rich scientific and literary creativity of Kamal Abdulla, his activities as a writer, publicist, linguist, literary critic, translator. It was noted that Kamal Abdulla’s activities are highly appreciated both in our country and abroad, and are of great interest to readers. The author was awarded the highest awards, both in the field of literature and science.
Then a fragment from the play, based on Kamal Abdulla’s book "Valley of the Sorcerers" was presented. A performance about the tragic fate of a man striving to reach the truth.
In his speech, Kamal Abdulla talked about the main directions of his scientific and literary activities, provided information about the literary works he wrote in various genres and the reasons that prompted him to write them.
The meeting continued with the discussion of the issues of the participants of the event.
