Azerbaijan University of Languages (the AUL) held a competition of poetry organized by the Department of French Phonetics and Grammar jointly with the French Information Centre and supported by the French Institute in Azerbaijan.

The AUL students of French recited “A celle que j’aime”, “Allegories”, “L’invitation au voyage” and other poems. By the decision of the Jury the 3^rd year student of the Education Faculty Maryam Hamidova took the I place, the 2^nd year student Lala Rustamli - the II place and the 3^rd year student Gunel Mammadova - the III place. The successful students received free membership to the French Institute and were awarded with certificates and gifts.
