Rector of AUL, academician Kamal Abdulla, welcomed the guests, expressing his pleasure to see them at the university. It was noted that there is a high level of dialogue and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus. In recent years, relations between the two countries in the political, economic, scientific, cultural and other fields have been developing in an upward line: "Dear guests, dear colleagues! We are glad to see you at AUL. Our relations with the Republic of Belarus are developing in all spheres, and the friendship of heads of states contributes to the rapprochement of our peoples. It is important to exchange scientific and cultural experience with colleagues, expand educational programs for young people and prepare a favorable ground for further cooperation. Today Belarus universities’ students have a strong interest in learning Azerbaijani culture and language. I believe that the Belarusian Language and Culture Center, operating at AUL, is necessary for the transition of our relations to a new stage".

Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan Vladimir Chushev spoke about the importance of the Center for the Belarusian Language and Culture operating under the AUL. It was noted that there are close relations of cooperation and partnership between the countries. The development of these connections is manifested in all spheres and, undoubtedly, in the spheres of education, science and culture. In turn, the diplomat stressed that the exhibition is important in terms of providing information about Belarus, given that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the country from the German-fascist occupation. It was stated that both sides are interested in developing future scientific and cultural cooperation and further improving relations.
