On 15 October, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan, Muhammad al-Bouschi, visited Azerbaijan University of Languages. University rector, academician Kamal Abdulla, warmly welcomed the ambassador and expressed joy to see him at the university. Emphasizing the importance of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates, the rector noted, that Sheikh Zayed Arabic Language Auditorium opening at AUL on June 2024 gave a boost to the development of ties between our countries. It was pointed out, that the centre provided a good opportunity for a deeper study of the culture and history of the United Arab Emirates. Young people who have used the potential of the center will become closer to the Arab spiritual world, learn about the characteristics of Arab culture.

Thanking for the warm welcome and kind words, Muhammad Al Blassi noted, that at present economic, political and cultural ties between our countries are developing on an ascending line. Expressing deep appreciation to the Rector of AUL Kamal Abdulla for supporting the opening of the Arabic Language Auditorium of Sheikh Zayed, the ambassador expressed confidence that the activities of this institution will play an important role in further strengthening relations between our peoples. The opening of the center was a clear example of the expansion of relations between the two countries. The Sheikh Zayed Arabic Language Auditorium will be a bridge in the continuity of relations between our countries in the field of culture, education and other spheres. The scope of activities of the centre is planned to be expanded in the future. This center will be a main place of interest for those who want to learn Arabic and get information about the United Arab Emirates.

After the meeting, which was continued by discussing future scientific cooperation, offer of exchange between teachers and students, Mohammed Al Bouschi met with students in the Sheikh Zaid Arabic Language Auditorium within the framework of the project «Embassy Hour» and gave a lecture on the topic «Education in the United Arab Emirates». Answering students' questions on the topic, the ambassador gave extensive information about study opportunities in the United Arab Emirates. Students read the poem in Arabic. The meeting ended with a video about the universities of the United Arab Emirates.
