Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Academician Kamal Abdulla, met with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Colombian Embassy in Azerbaijan, Consul Andres Felipe Giraldo Lopez.

The rector expressed his pleasure to greet the consul in the educational institution headed by him, and hoped that relations will continue to develop at the highest level. Academician Kamal Abdulla invited the guest to take part in the  "Ambassador’s Hour" project.

According to the project, ambassadors give lectures and talk about both their country and Azerbaijan.

The Consul thanked for the invitation, and expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between AUL and the Embassy of Colombia in Azerbaijan, highly appreciating the steps taken towards the development of the language.

It was discussed holding a literary and artistic event at the Azerbaijan University of Languages with the aim of popularizing Colombian literature.

It was noted that the meeting with famous Colombian writers Laura Restrepo, Martin Gomez, Carlos Eduardo Betancourt will form a clear idea of the modern literature of this country among students and teachers.
