Rector of Pakistan's National University of Modern Languages visits AUL

Rector of the National University of Modern Languages of Pakistan Shahid Mahmud Kiyani met with the rector of the National University of Modern Languages of Pakistan at the Azerbaijan University of Languages on May 6.

Rector of AUL, academician Kamal Abdulla, welcomed the guest and said he was glad to see him at the university.

It was noted, that along with political, economic ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, scientific, cultural ties are developing along the ascending line: "I appreciate the relations between our universities. We often exchange views on this issue with the Embassy of Pakistan in Azerbaijan and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Pakistan. We note with great pleasure the successful activity of the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture at the University of Pakistan. We also highly appreciate the activity of the Pakistan Cultural Center at our university. We have always felt the moral support of the Pakistani people and the state of Pakistan in ensuring the sovereignty of Azerbaijan".

Expressing gratitude for warm reception and kind words, the guest noted AUL's successes in recent years. It was said, that development of scientific and cultural ties always creates conditions for new opportunities for cooperation. It was stated, that cooperation with AUL itself contains new perspectives. The guest noted, that there are favorable opportunities for establishing virtual scientific ties between teachers and students

At the same time, views were expressed on the necessity of organizing lectures on life and activity of great leader Heydar Aliyev at the National University of Modern Languages of Pakistan. It was noted, that due to this, Pakistani youth will get familiarized with the history of Azerbaijan, and our nations will have an opportunity to know each other better.

The meeting continued with discussion of programs on exchange of teachers and students, study of mutual scientific practices.

Later, the guest met with students of the Pakistani Cultural Center.
