Rector and faculty members of AUL participated in the International Scientific-Practical Conference
On November 16-17, 2023, the Rector and representatives of the teaching staff of Azerbaijan University of Languages remotely participated in the International scientific-practical conference "Actual problems and trends of development of modern economy" held in Samara State Technical University with the organizational support of the AUL Center of Russian Studies.
At the opening of the conference with a welcoming speech and a report "Multicultural security as an important doctrine of the state" was made by the Rector of AUL academician Kamal Abdulla. Then, at the plenary session, Irina Kunina, associate professor of AUL's International Relations Department, Head of the Education Department of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism, made a report on "Azerbaijan's model of multiculturalism: institutions, mechanisms of formation".
The staff of the Center of Russian Studies and faculty of the University took part in the section "Issues of multiculturalism and regional studies in the socio-economic development of countries in modern conditions". Head of the Department of Regional Studies Aliyeva Sevdagul emphasized the importance of preserving ethno-cultural peculiarities of the peoples of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences Abdiyeva Adalat talked about the peculiarities of the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism. Diana Huseynzadeh, Head of the Center for Russian Studies, and Sergey Klimov, Research Associate of the Center, made a report on "Multiculturalism as a Strategic Resource of Azerbaijan's Soft Power".
The section meeting was held in a constructive manner and allowed the participants to exchange professional opinions on the most topical issues.
