Opening ceremony of 6th International Scientific Conference "Heydar Aliyev: Ideology of Multiculturalism and Tolerance" , dedicated to the 100th anniversary of our National Leader Heydar Aliyev, took place at Azerbaijan University of Languages, June 14.

Guests and participants of the conference visited the bust of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, and a ceremony of laying flowers was held. The memory of the Great Leader was remembered with deep respect and reverence.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and then the international student anthem "Gaudames" was sung.

Rector of AUL, academician Kamal Abdulla greeted the participants and guests of the conference and expressed his pleasure to welcome them at the university. The guests, who participated in the conference were introduced to the participants of the event. After thanking all participants, the rector spoke about the importance of the conference.

It was noted, there was great interest in the conference, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of our Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Representatives of science and education, scientists, intellectuals from foreign countries paid great attention to the conference:

"Today we honor the blessed memory of great leader with deep respect and reverence. He lives and will live forever in our hearts as a great leader, as a wise politician, as a man, who loved and protected his people and land with all his being.

The Great Leader saw Azerbaijan's strength in the cohesion and unity of the peoples. As a result of this unity and solidarity the Azerbaijani people became an iron fist in 44 days, and our historical lands were liberated from occupation. Today the Azerbaijani people makes its word to the world as a nation-victorious.

It is a great responsibility to be a nation-victor. We must demonstrate this with our work, our actions in our classrooms, in our chairs."

President of the Union of Caucasian Universities Ramazan Korkmaz, Rector of Chechen State Pedagogical University Ismail Baykhanov, Rector of Minsk State Linguistic University Natalia Lapteva, Professor Hendrik Bushoten from Mainz University, Professor Muhammad Zubair Iqbal from National Modern Languages University of Pakistan, Professor Ludmila Bezhenaru from Alexandru John Cusa University in Iasi, Professor Fikret Turkmen from Aegean University, member of the Council of Judges of the Administration of Muslims of the Caucasus, Haji Fuad Nurullayev, Executive Director of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism Ravan Hasanov, Chairman of the religious community of mountain Jews of Baku Milikh Evdayev, Head of the Italian publishing house "Sandro Teti Editore" Sandro Teti and other guests addressed the conference with a welcoming speech and shared their thoughts about it.

It was noted that the conference played a very important role in terms of its significance and establishment of international cooperation.

The conference continued with breakout sessions and concluded with a wrap-up session.
